Most people who walk through our doors have never danced before.
That's exactly why Beginning Ballroom exists.

Learning to dance isn't about having natural talent.
It's about having an instructor who meets you where you are.
Whether you're preparing for your wedding or just want to feel comfortable on the dance floor, every lesson is tailored to your goals, your timeline, and your comfort level.
No pressure. No intimidation.
Just real progress.

Beginning Ballroom has been helping people learn to dance since 2002. I’ve worked with thousands of couples, many convinced they had two left feet.
Good teaching isn’t about putting everyone through the same formula. It’s knowing what to teach, when to teach it, and how to make it work for the people in front of me.
You don’t need to know anything about dancing before you arrive. I’ve got you covered.
And if you’re convinced you have two left feet? You’re exactly the kind of student I love teaching.

Your first lesson gives me a chance to see how you move together, understand your goals and timeline, and learn what you want your first dance to feel like.
From there, I’ll give you my professional recommendation for how many lessons it will take to get you there.

Hi, I'm Lee Gedansky.
I started Beginning Ballroom because I believe dance instruction can be more personal, encouraging, and practical than many people expect.
Twenty-five years later, I still teach every lesson myself.
My approach is this:
Teach real dancing to real people.
Whether you're preparing for your wedding, looking for a new hobby, or simply want to feel comfortable on the dance floor, I'll meet you where you are and guide you one step at a time.

If you've said,
"We've never danced before..."
you're exactly the people I love teaching.
I love helping people discover that they can learn to dance.
